You yearn to create a good idea.
What does being a good idea mean?
Something is good if it fulfills its goal. Wine is good if it’s tasty. A pen is good if you can easily and beautifully write with it.
For an idea to be good, it needs to fulfill its goal - solve a problem or take advantage of an opportunity.
But is this really what you want?
Is an idea good if it fulfills its goal, but only for you or a small number of people?
I think it is, but I also suggest that when you say “a good idea,” that’s not what you mean.
What you actually mean is that it is so fundamentally innovative that many agree it achieves goals or desires that are important to them, even new ones that they never imagined before. So many agree, that it changes the world.
